Subject: Tremendous guitar player
I came to Rainer just recently and have had a hard time locating recordings. This set is simply amazing and contains the best version of "Last Fair Deal" I've ever heard.

Subject: Time Capsule...
This is an excellent capture of a time when Das Combo was at a high point! Enjoy this recording w/ studio audience and hear what you have been missing.

Subject: Rainer primer
A classic slice of mid-period Rainer. First a short but sweet solo set, then it's Das Combo for the rest. The first official release of material from this particular lineup of the band. The sound is clean, open and very well balanced... "live in the studio" with a small but appreciative audience. Enjoy

Notes

FLAC and 1st seeding on 10-5-05 by Jim Blackwood

Rainer Ptacek - Guitar, Vocals
Nick Augustine - Bass
Bruce Halper - Drums

This was part of KXCI-FM's (http:www.kxci.org) short lived Monday Night Live radio series.. The Sound Factory was a recording studio in Tucson where they would bring in a small guest studio audience and record the performance for later broadcast (on one of the following Monday nights).

This version will replace any previous circulating copies due to a much improved transfer of the master tape and the addition of professional mastering of the recording. Enjoy it!

Thanks to Rainer's family for letting this out of the archives and for allowing this to be seeded into the community!
